Welcome in the big Island of Cuba, the largest in the Antilles. With almost 6000km of beaches of white sand, its tropical flora covering its many mountains, its colonial cities and its peaceful countryside, it is easy to fall under its charm.
It's easy to see why so many travellers say "si" to Cuba when they want to get away! Cuban vacations offer beautiful beaches, outstanding value, friendly people, safety, and a vibrant culture.
There are two distinct elements to a vacation in Cuba - The first is the cultural and historic scene of cities like Havana and Santiago de Cuba. Walking the streets of old Havana can be a wonderful experience - colonial Spanish buildings, museums, historic sites, a resonating music scene, live entertainment, and markets in the heart of the old city.
The second Cuban element is the sun, sand and sea. In the tourist areas of Cayo Coco, Varadero, Holguin & Cayo Santa Maria the goal is very simple: Sun and sand, and Cuba offers some of the best beaches in the Caribbean at an excellent price. Wherever you choose to go on this unique island, the warmth of its people, the salsa beats, the pristine beaches will call you back to Cuba again and again.
Considered by many as one of the world's most beautiful beaches, Varadero is part of a peninsula that stretches far out into the calm waters of the Atlantic. Its 21-kilometre strip of fine white sand is an ideal vacation spot for sun-lovers, water babies and golfers. Located on the tip of the Varadero Peninsula is the beautiful Varahicacos Reserve offers wonderful fauna and flora, and a few archaeological findings.
If you also have a craving for art, history and culture then head to the nearby cities of Cárdenas and Matanzas, the provincial capital. Nature seekers will be delighted with the Zapata Biosphere Reserve which is famous for its ecotourism and history. Nearby Havana is 2 hours from Varadero and is not to be missed!
